NSR & Paddlefest
0 Comments Published by Lowri April 21st, 2009 in General Life, Kayaking, aber uni canoe club, coaching, competition, exhibitions, freestyle, photography, weekend adventures, white waterDue to the reconstruction work at Holme Pierrepont, the National Student Rodeo was postponed until the end of March this year, putting it on the same weekend as Paddlefest. Since I was already due to be working at Paddlefest providing FlowFree coaching clinics and manning the FlowFree stand; this was set to be a VERY busy weekend!
Here’s some photos from the weekend’s Rodeo action:

And what student event would be complete without dressing up like a fool for a party in a huge marquee in a field?

Paddlefest seemed to go relatively well considering it was the first year of running at HPP. There was plenty of controversy and certainly room for improvement, but I am sure that next year’s show will be an extravaganza not to be missed.
The feedback from FlowFree‘s coaching clinics has been extremely positive and our summer courses are filling up. Take a look at our website to see what’s on offer.
