My decision to leave Team Peak UK has not been one I have taken? lightly. After 6 years with Peak UK, we have been through a lot toghether and Pete Astles has become a good personal friend. When discussing my decision with an impartial non-paddling friend, he said “Well, at the end of the day, it’s just business”. I found myself answering “Unfortunately, it’s not that simple.”. Then I realised, unfortunately nothing. I am glad it isn’t ‘just business’ and that this decision has been so hard. It is an indication that I care, believe that my sponsors care and that the relationship has value. That certainly is not unfortunate.

All this said, I am happy to announce that I am now part of the Square Rock Jackson Kayak? Team and? Team Palm Europe. I would also? like to thank Sweet Helmets for their recent support. I still plan to use my Riot Thunder for the Four Borders Expedition.? My shiny new Jackson Star 07 arrived this afternoon and I have been working from home? all afternoon sat in her:

Working from home

Obviously, I don’t always work with my login screen up but I didn’t want to accidentally take a photo of anything IBM confidential! She is very comfy, I might make her my new desk chair… not sure she meets the office’s Health and Safety criteria though…

My new Palm kit is due to arrive at the end of the week, which is very exciting…

I’m going to Chertsey this evening to christen the Star. I think she needs a name – suggestions on a postcard please.

Hey Lowri!! Welcome to the square rock love circle. I think you should call your star Christabel, but I also think that boats are just bits of plastic! ;) x

    Hey Lowri,

I think that you should definately consider “Seren” as the name for you new star.
Good luck with your preparations for Four Borders, look forward to seeing you again soon.
